Editing, writing, coaching, and manuscript services for authors.
Gerard Cataldo
Welcome
Writing is a solitary task, but one thing we writers learn is that we can’t do everything ourselves! We are certainly not our best editors, nor are most of us adept at stepping back and offering an honest, unbiased opinion of our own work in progress.
Whether you are working on a memoir, novel, short story, play, business paper, magazine article, academic tome, or something in between, it’s important to take the time to consult with an objective editorial professional who can help take your work through to publication.
I want to help you.
Our Menu
Consultation: This is our introductory “meeting” where we discuss your writing project, ideas, concept, publishing goals, and time frame. To facilitate this telephone or text discussion please send me your information on the enclosed inquiry form. There is no charge for this planning discussion.
Comprehensive Editing: Sometimes referred to as developmental or structural editing, this is in-depth editing covering all aspects of your manuscript.
Copy Editing and Proofreading: a close examination of the ms correcting typographical errors, grammar issues, spelling, incorrect usage, consistency, etc.
Writing: Do you need an article or speech drafted and you can’t find time in your schedule? Are you stuck in the middle of a business report and your deadline is fast approaching? Whether an interview-winning resume, an essay, a blog entry, or business letters, let me help you get the job done and relieve some stress.
Rates for Services
You’re not going to see a definitive table of rates for services based on word or page tally. Each project deserves to be discussed on its own merits, with due consideration to the market, fairness, and affordability. We’ll talk about it and come to an agreement on services and fees.
